Richard Tosic Architects have gained Full Planning consent for a replacement dwelling on an existing residential site in Carnkie, near Helston.
A previous planning permission for a roof extension to an existing two bedroomed bungalow on this site was gained in October 2017 (previous scheme also shown in images). Approximately a year later, just before the owners were to start the construction works, a neighbouring property suffered major damage from a gas explosion, which also affected the bungalow on our site. Following extensive negotiations by the owners with the insurance company, it was agreed that their existing bungalow would be replaced by a new dwelling. This allowed a revisit of the original extension design, and a total re-design to provide a three bedroomed two storey unit.
